HE KNEW IT WOULD COST HIM AND HE DID IT ANYWAY
HE KNEW IT WOULD COST HIM EVERYTHING — AND HE DID IT ANYWAY!
Why Donald Trump Shrugged Off the Midterm Massacre — and What 160 Million Short-Sighted Voters Still Can't See By Professor Toto November 6, 2026
Folks, let me tell you what happened Wednesday.
The morning after the Republican Party got buried — at least, BURIED is what every headline in America is screaming — under a blue wave that took the House and the Senate…
The President of the United States walked out to the ballroom construction site at the White House.
A reporter asked him the question every politician in America dreads.
Did the Iran war cost you the midterms?
And Donald Trump — the man every pundit swears cares about nothing but winning — said, in so many words, yes.
Then he said the part nobody in Washington could process.
He said he’d do it all over again.
His words: “I’d have to do it again because long term, it’s the only answer.”
And when they asked him if it was worth it?
He said yes.
Write it down.
A man who just lost both chambers of Congress, looked into the camera, and said he would pay the bill a second time.
Politicians don’t talk like that.
Politicians apologize. Politicians pivot. Politicians fire a cabinet secretary and blame the consultants.
Donald Trump didn’t flinch.
Why?
That’s the question. And I’m going to give you the answer nobody on cable news will give you — because nobody on cable news knows who we are.
THE BILL CAME DUE
Now, I’m not going to tell you Tuesday was a good night.
Democrats flipped Senate seats in Texas, Kansas, Iowa, Ohio, Maine, North Carolina, South Carolina.
KANSAS. A state that hasn’t sent a Democrat to the Senate in nearly a hundred years.
It hurt. It was real.
But before you swallow the cable-news obituary whole — check the tape.
CHECK THE TAPE: CLINTON AND OBAMA
Every network in the country is calling this the end of the Trump era.
Funny.
Nobody called it the end of the Clinton era in 1994.
Nobody called it the end of the Obama era in 2010.
So let’s put the three of them side by side.
THE HOUSE.
Bill Clinton, 1994: lost 54 seats.
Barack Obama, 2010: lost 63 seats.
Donald Trump, 2026: about 41 — with a handful of races still being counted.
Fewer than Clinton. A whole lot fewer than Obama.
And don’t let anybody tell you that’s just because Republicans had fewer seats to lose. Do the math. Obama lost about a quarter of his House caucus. Clinton lost about a fifth. Trump lost less than either one — by count AND by percentage.
THE GOVERNORS.
Clinton, 1994: lost 10 governorships.
Obama, 2010: lost 6.
Trump, 2026: 5 confirmed — with Alaska still out.
Half of Clinton’s losses. At or below Obama’s.
THE SENATE.
Clinton, 1994: lost 8 seats.
Obama, 2010: lost 6.
Trump, 2026: 7 so far.
Right in the middle of the two of them. Not worse than Clinton. Not a new low. The same ballpark both of those men walked out of.
Now, Class — here’s the part they’re not telling you.
Clinton lost 54 House seats in 1994 and was re-elected two years later.
Obama lost 63 in 2010 and was re-elected two years later.
The press didn’t write their political obituaries.
They only write them for the man who bombs Fordow.
So was Tuesday a defeat? Yes.
Was it the historic, unprecedented, end-of-MAGA wipeout they’re selling you?
Not by Clinton’s numbers.
Not by Obama’s numbers.
Not by the numbers at all.
WHY THE VOTER BOLTED
And the reason for the losses they did suffer is no mystery.
Gasoline is sitting around four dollars and ten cents a gallon.
A year ago this week it was about three-oh-eight.
That’s a DOLLAR a gallon — and that dollar went straight to the ballot box.
The Strait of Hormuz has been a shooting gallery. Oil has flirted with a hundred bucks a barrel. And the American voter did what the American voter always does.
He looked at the pump.
He looked at his grocery receipt.
And he pulled the lever against the man who was standing between Tehran and the bomb.
Now, Class, hold that thought, because the men who wrote our Constitution saw this day coming 239 years ago.
THE FOUNDERS SAW YOU COMING
I’ve been watching The American Experiment on Netflix — five episodes, and episodes four and five will open your eyes.
Because when you go back to Philadelphia in the summer of 1787 — fifty-five men locked in a hot room, no air conditioning, windows shut so nobody could eavesdrop — James Madison sat there and wrote down nearly every word.
And the thing they argued about, over and over, wasn’t taxes.
It was you.
Could the ordinary voter be trusted to choose his own rulers?
On May 31, 1787, a delegate from Massachusetts named Elbridge Gerry stood up and said this — and Madison wrote it down:
“The evils we experience flow from the excess of democracy. The people do not want virtue, but are the dupes of pretended patriots.”
DUPES.
That’s a signer of the Declaration of Independence talking.
Gerry’s fear — and he wasn’t alone — was that the crowd would always be bought with something shiny today and pay for it with something precious tomorrow.
That’s why the Founders built FILTERS into the Republic.
The Electoral College for the presidency.
And the Senate — the Senate wasn’t elected by you at all. State legislatures chose senators for the first 124 years of this country, until the Seventeenth Amendment in 1913.
The House was the people’s chamber. Hot-blooded. Two-year terms. Let the people vent there.
The Senate was supposed to be the elders at the gate — six-year terms, cooler heads, men who could outlast the temper of the moment.
Do you see it?
The Founders built a Republic designed to survive the exact thing that happened Tuesday night:
A nation voting its gas tank instead of its grandchildren.
WHAT THE LITTLE MAN DOESN’T KNOW
Now let me say something that’s going to make some of you mad.
Good.
You and I do not have the President’s intelligence briefings.
Lara Trump said it out loud back in September: the American people don’t get the briefings the President gets — and that’s exactly why he could see the bigger danger was Iran.
We don’t know what’s sitting in the centrifuges at Fordow.
We don’t know what the satellites saw.
We don’t know how close we came.
Most of us can’t keep the toilet paper stocked in our own bathroom, and we’re going to sit in judgment over the man who has to decide whether a city in Israel — or a city in America — wakes up to a mushroom cloud?
Think with me.
Imagine you wake up tomorrow and the news says a nuclear device has gone off. Tel Aviv. Or New York. Or Chicago.
The regime that did it has been chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” in the streets for forty-seven years. They told us. They printed it on banners.
And by lunchtime, every talking head on every network would be screaming the same question:
HOW DID TRUMP LET THIS HAPPEN?
He knew they had the capability. He did NOTHING.
That’s the trap a real leader lives in.
If he acts, you blame him for the gas.
If he doesn’t, you blame him for the graves.
Donald Trump chose the gas.
And he knew — make no mistake, he KNEW — that the choice would cost him.
Months before the vote, he sat at his own Cabinet table, cameras rolling, and said it plain: “I don’t care about the midterms.” Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon — and he said he was doing it for the world.
Back in September he told Fox News he didn’t believe in the word “regret.” His own daughter-in-law said on the record the war could cost him the midterms.
He walked into it with his eyes wide open.
That’s not a man protecting his poll numbers.
That’s a man carrying an assignment.
PERSIA BY ANOTHER NAME
Now, Class, here’s the part that ought to raise the hair on the back of your neck.
Do you know what Iran used to be called?
PERSIA.
Same land. Same throne room. The name only changed in 1935, when the Shah told the world to stop calling it Persia and start calling it Iran.
So when you say “Iran,” say what the Bible says.
PERSIA.
And Persia has played BOTH roles in the story of Israel.
In Persia, YAHWEH raised up a Cyrus to send the Jews home and rebuild Jerusalem.
And in that same Persia, a man named Haman got the king’s ring and sealed a decree to wipe out every Jew in the empire — “both young and old, little children and women, in one day” (Esther 3:13).
ONE DAY.
That’s not ancient history, folks. That’s the job description of the regime in Tehran.
A Haman in the palace, chanting for Israel’s destruction.
And the Prophet Ezekiel saw Persia one more time — marching at the end of the age with Gog against the mountains of Israel:
“Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet.” — Ezekiel 38:5
Do you see the thread running through those three accounts?
In Isaiah, a Persian king brings Judah HOME.
In Esther, a Persian palace plots Judah’s DEATH.
In Ezekiel, Persia MARCHES against Israel at the end of the age.
THREE PASSAGES. ONE QUESTION.
Who holds the destiny of Israel in His hands?
Not Cyrus.
Not Haman.
Not the kings of Persia.
YAHWEH!
And in 2026, the ancient land of Persia is once again at the center of a fight over Israel’s survival.
Should those of us who believe the prophets just look away?
Not on my watch.
Every time Persia rises against Israel, YAHWEH raises up somebody to stand in the gap.
A Mordecai. An Esther. A Cyrus.
And in 2026, a man from Queens who doesn’t fit anybody’s idea of a prophet’s choice — and stood in the gap anyway.
THE ASSIGNMENT
And here is where Professor Toto takes off the mortarboard for a moment and tells you what I have been telling you for YEARS.
Donald Trump was raised up by YAHWEH.
Not for tax cuts.
Not for tariffs.
Not even for the border — though thank you, Mr. President, for the border.
He was raised up for ISRAEL.
And before somebody runs to the comment section to list his flaws — save your breath.
YAHWEH HAS NEVER REQUIRED A MAN TO BE PERFECT BEFORE HE USES HIM.
Listen to the Prophet Isaiah, speaking about a pagan king named Cyrus — a man who didn’t know the Elohim of Israel, a man nobody would have picked for the job:
“That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.” — Isaiah 44:28
HIS SHEPHERD. A Persian!
And then the very next verse:
“Thus saith YAHWEH to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him… For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.” — Isaiah 45:1, 4
FOR JACOB’S SAKE.
That’s why the Cyrus kings get raised up.
Not for their own sake. Not for their party’s sake. For Jacob’s.
Daniel told us YAHWEH “removeth kings, and setteth up kings” (Daniel 2:21). Mordecai told Esther she might have come to the kingdom “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14).
Every one of those people paid a price.
Esther walked into the throne room knowing she might die.
Cyrus funded a temple for a God he didn’t worship.
And Donald Trump walked into a war knowing it would cost him the Congress.
The ones raised up for Israel always pay.
FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA
Now let’s talk about the alternative, because the honest man has to ask it.
What if Donald Trump had lost in 2024?
Joe Biden spent four years helping Israel shoot missiles out of the sky — and I’ll give him that much. When Iran launched in April and October of 2024, American hands helped knock them down.
But catching the arrows is not the same as breaking the bow.
Biden never touched the program. Not once. Not Fordow. Not Natanz. Not Isfahan.
He played defense and called it a policy.
And before Biden? Barack Obama signed a nuclear deal with Persia in 2015 and called it peace.
Trump tore that deal up in 2018.
Then look at the CLOCK.
Five months into his second term — June 2025 — Donald Trump sent the bunker-busters into the mountain.
One year in — February 2026 — he went to war to finish it.
Four years of Biden: nothing.
Eight years of Obama: a deal.
Seventeen months of Trump: the mountain is cratered.
That’s the difference between a man who reveres Israel and men who manage her.
Leaders who don’t carry that reverence don’t move that fast. They hold another meeting. They send another envoy. They wait for the next administration.
Persia has always counted on that.
Persia never counted on Donald Trump.
And Kamala Harris? The woman who couldn’t bring herself to stand on a stage and give Israel her full-throated backing during a campaign?
You think she was going to send the B-2s?
I’ll tell you what I believe — and I’ll put my name on it:
Had YAHWEH not raised up Donald Trump, the Islamic Republic would be on its way to finishing the sentence its mobs have been chanting for decades.
From the river to the sea.
The Psalmist heard the same chant three thousand years ago:
“They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.” — Psalm 83:4
Same chant. Different century.
And the same Elohim who heard it then raised up a man to answer it now.
NOBODY TOLD YOU WHO YOU ARE
So why can’t Americans see it?
Because nobody teaches us who we are.
The Prophet Hosea nailed it:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” — Hosea 4:6
The Messiah said He was sent “unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matthew 15:24).
LOST sheep. Not dead sheep. Not replaced sheep. LOST.
YAHWEH told Jacob that “a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee” (Genesis 35:11).
A NATION. And a COMPANY of nations.
Folks, I have taught you for years — and it is settled teaching on this program — that the birthright promises given to Joseph’s sons didn’t evaporate. Ephraim became a company of nations: the British Commonwealth. And Manasseh — the son Jacob said “also shall become a people, and he also shall be great” (Genesis 48:19) — Manasseh is the United States of America.
That’s not a theory to me. That is the story of this nation.
Which means America’s bond with the State of Israel isn’t foreign aid.
It’s FAMILY.
It’s the House of Joseph standing next to the House of Judah — the two sticks Ezekiel saw coming back together in one hand.
That’s America’s manifest destiny. Not just sea to shining sea.
Brother to brother.
And when you don’t know you’re Manasseh, you look at Judah and see a line item.
When you don’t know you’re Israel, you look at the war and see a gas bill.
“Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18).
THE SABOTEURS
Now I’ve got to name some names, because the voter didn’t get to this place alone.
Mark Levin put it bluntly on Wednesday. He called Tucker Carlson “a loathsome creature” and said — I’m paraphrasing the rest — that Tucker worked with his foreign-based followers and influencers to sabotage the President, the GOP, and these midterms, and that he ranks among the biggest traitors this country has produced.
(Embed Levin’s November 4 X post here.)
I’ll say it plainer.
For a solid year, Tucker Carlson and his fan club have spent every waking hour teaching young conservatives to HATE Israel. Not criticize — hate. They made it fashionable on the Right to sneer at Judah.
They’ve taught a generation that every dollar and every sacrifice spent standing with Israel is a betrayal of America.
I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT.
Sometimes an ally’s security is your own security.
Sometimes you stop the danger over there so it never reaches your shores.
And here’s the part that ought to stop you cold.
The morning after the wipeout, the Vice President of the United States — JD Vance — posted his own autopsy on X.
Bottom line, in his own words: “The reason we lost is the war.”
And among the lessons he said voters wanted Republicans to learn? He wrote that we need to change our relationship to Israel.
Read that again.
The man who’d be first in line for the Oval Office looked at the biggest Republican defeat in a generation and his takeaway was: back away from Israel.
Mr. Vice President, I see you.
You were against this war before it started. Everybody in Washington knows it. The President himself said you were “less enthusiastic.”
And now that the bill has come due, you’ve decided the problem wasn’t the price.
The problem was Judah.
Genesis 12:3 still stands:
“I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee.”
That’s not a campaign slogan. That’s a covenant. And no pollster can repeal it.
VOTE BEYOND YOUR POCKETBOOK
So here’s where I land.
I would pay twenty dollars a gallon if it meant keeping a nuclear bomb out of the hands of the men who chant for my death and Israel’s.
I’ll pay it. Gladly.
Keep that southern border shut, Mr. President, and keep Iran away from the bomb, and I’ll stay home and park the truck.
Because MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN never meant cheap gas for the next ninety days.
It meant restoring who we ARE.
It meant remembering whose sons we are.
Vote beyond your pocketbook.
Vote beyond your 401(k).
Vote beyond the pump.
Vote for a VISION — or the Founders were right about you.
A POLITICAL DEFEAT IS NOT A DIVINE DEFEAT
Now here is where too many church folks get it wrong.
They think winning proves YAHWEH is with you — and losing proves He left.
Have we forgotten our Bibles?
Was Joseph outside the purpose of YAHWEH when his brothers sold him into a pit?
Was Moses outside the purpose of YAHWEH when Pharaoh slammed the door in his face — ten times?
Was Jeremiah outside the purpose of YAHWEH when Jerusalem threw him in the mud?
Every one of them looked like a loser on election night.
Every one of them was exactly where YAHWEH put him.
A POLITICAL DEFEAT IS NOT A DIVINE DEFEAT.
So I leave you with the words that will not leave my spirit:
“For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect…” — Isaiah 45:4
Not for Cyrus’s political career.
Not for the glory of Persia.
FOR JACOB’S SAKE!
And when Mordecai laid the terrifying weight of her position on Esther’s shoulders, he asked the question that still echoes across the centuries:
“Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14
Now I ask that same question about the man sitting in the Oval Office.
What if Donald Trump was raised up for something bigger than a congressional majority?
What if the assignment was always going to carry a terrible political price?
And what if the very decision that cost him the Congress becomes the decision history remembers him for?
He’s playing a long game.
He told you so himself — long term, it’s the only answer.
HE KNEW THE PRICE.
HE SAID HE WOULD PAY IT AGAIN.
And when the full story of this hour is written, you will find that the destiny of Israel mattered more than the political fortunes of any American president — Donald Trump included.
TUESDAY WAS AN ELECTION.
ISRAEL IS A COVENANT.
DO NOT CONFUSE THE TWO.
If you want the bigger picture of how this President stands against the nations, go back and read my June 11, 2025 piece, TRUMP vs. THE NATIONS.
And Now You Know… THE BEST of the Story.
CLASS DISMISSED!!!!
